How I met George Harrison
In 1985, George Harrison & 2 of the guys from Deep Purple came to stay on an island in Australia where I was working. They chartered a boat for a day to get away from the tourist crowds and I was assigned to host the charter for the day; it was my job to ensure they were fed etc.. Awestruck but trying to remain cool, calm & unaffected, we cruised to a beautiful Bay where George went snorkelling & spent a couple of hours on the beach. When he came back to the boat, we hadd a late lunch and a few drinks. He’d brought a guitar with him & one of the guys from DP had a harmonica – so they jammed for about 2hrs. I’ll never forget it!
My year in review
2005?
It was ok. Not what I expected it to be.
I didn’t get to half the places I wanted to and I ended up going to places I didn’t have on my list.
A lot of time was spent going round in circles and making no progress but then, progress is not always seen by the progressor???!
2006 roll on.
